Job Description

•  Under supervision, support delivery of ocean freight forwarding processes and activities for internal and external customers.
• Provide administrative support such as gathering operational requirements, arranging customer visits, responding to tariff queries, etc.
• Conduct routine tasks such as research, data processing and validation, and documentation.
• Support in gathering requirements for freight control center, and details, information and instructions for operations team.
• Share allocation and reservations of freight on planned line haul.
• Support analysis of tariff rates, freight classifications, delivery schedules and deadlines to ascertain freight rate on incoming and outgoing materials and products.
• Respond to queries, gather information for customer visits and may participate in customer visits to maintain close business relationship with existing clients and enhance customer retention.
• Collect information and data for shipping tenders.
• Enter data and share information, and handle day-to-day shipment documentation for freight forwarding.
• Collate data and draft reports and updates for account performances to support other team members.
• Achieve compliance with established procedures and ensure proper usage of OFR Ops/CS processes and policies.
• Resolve recurring issues faced during delivery as per defined processes, systems and methods.
• In area of OFR product:
• Create and/or confirm transport orders, perform and optimize bookings.
• Prepare, control, and distribute all required Import/Export documents.
• Identify performance issues of suppliers, and propose solutions to improve performance.
• Update Customs shipment information and physical status, resolve customer issues and incidents.

Job Requirements

•  Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Transport/Maritime/Business or any equivalent academic record
• minimum 2 years working experience in the freight forwarding industry/field. Prefer with experience in handling sea freight business.
• Skills require: Relationship with Carrier/shipping line, has knowledge in Bill of Lading, FCL and LCL, process of Import/Export including Documentation.
• Contract Duration: 12-months (renewal based on Business and Individual Performance.)
• Location: Subang Jaya, USJ25
