Job Description

The Hearing Care Professional (HCP) is responsible for providing hearing healthcare support services, assisting individuals with hearing aid selection, fitting, counselling, and aftercare under the guidance of the clinical team. The HCP serves as the first point of contact for clients seeking hearing solutions and ensures a high standard of customer care throughout the hearing rehabilitation journey.

This position is designed for diploma graduates who will undergo structured in-house training to develop competencies in hearing care services. The HCP does not perform diagnostic audiological assessments or independently diagnose hearing or balance disorders.


Job Requirements

Patient Care

  • Welcome and register clients attending hearing consultations.
  • Conduct hearing screenings and basic hearing assessments according to company protocols.
  • Assist clients in understanding hearing health and available hearing solutions.
  • Recommend suitable hearing aid options based on assessment outcomes and clinical guidelines established by the supervising audiologist.

Clinical Support

  • Assist Audiologists during diagnostic hearing assessments and specialised procedures when required.
  • Prepare clinical equipment and ensure testing rooms are ready for patient appointments.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated according to company procedures.
  • Perform hearing aid programming and fine-tuning using manufacturer software after completing internal competency training.

Sales & Service

  • Build long-term relationships with clients through excellent customer service.
  • Achieve individual and centre sales objectives ethically and professionally.
  • Promote hearing healthcare awareness and rehabilitation services.
  • Manage hearing aid orders, accessories, warranties, and service requests

Administration

  • Schedule appointments and manage patient follow-up activities.
  • Maintain inventory of hearing aids, accessories, batteries, and consumables.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports as required by management.

Professional Development

  • Complete all required internal certification and competency programmes.
  • Attend product training, workshops, and continuous professional development sessions.
  • Stay updated with hearing aid technologies and best practices in hearing care.

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma in any of the following or related disciplines:
    • Healthcare
    • Medical Sciences
    • Allied Health
    • Nursing
    • Biomedical Science
    • Psychology
    • Customer Service
    • Business (with strong interest in healthcare)
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience

  • Prior customer service, healthcare, retail, or medical device experience is an advantage but not required.
  • Full training will be provided.
