Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning network, founded in Canada in 1971 by a group of environmental activists. Greenpeace focuses its campaign on worldwide issues such as climate change, deforestation, overfishing, commercial whaling, genetic engineering, and anti-nuclear issues. It uses direct action, lobbying, and research to achieve its goals.
The network comprises 26 independent national/regional organizations in over 55 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, as well as a coordinating body, Greenpeace International, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Greenpeace opened the first office in Southeast Asia in 2000. Since then we have led successful campaigns throughout the region, securing fresher air, cleaner water and a healthier environment through changing industry practices and government policies. Greenpeace actively campaigns across the region on pressing environmental issues concerning our climate, forests, oceans, food, plastic, liveable cities, as well as social justice.
Greenpeace has four offices in Southeast Asia (GPSEA)—in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand, with each office is composed of Programme Department (Campaigns, Communications, Public Engagement &amp; Actions), Fundraising, and Operations Support (Human Resources, Finance &amp; Administration, Information Technology, Security). Currently, Greenpeace Southeast Asia employs nearly 200 staff across the region, excluding the Direct Dialogue Fundraisers. To remain independent, we have a policy of not accepting funding from companies and governments and therefore only accept donations from individuals and private foundations.

SEVEN PRINCIPLES 

The intern will support the Insights Unit in delivering audience insights through social listening and desktop research. This role will help strengthen our internal reporting processes by assisting in the analysis and documentation of data gathered from digital platforms and public sources. The internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in qualitative research and audience analysis within a regional environmental NGO setting.
Key Duties:
<ul>
<li>Assist in compiling and analyzing data for audience insights requests, including social media listening and desktop research.</li>
<li>Contribute to at least 1–2 audience insight reports by supporting data collection, simple analysis, or note-taking.</li>
<li>Assist in organizing and maintaining internal research documents for easier access and tracking.</li>
<li>Gain basic understanding of social listening research methods and how the insights result are used in campaign planning.</li>
<li>Assist in the launch of a new social listening tool in Greenpeace Southeast Asia, this includes coordinating with the supplier, coordinating with Greenpeace Southeast Asia attendees, supporting training and workshop sessions through scheduling, note-taking and other administrative tasks&nbsp;</li>
