Job Description

  • To report to the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Operating Officer on any matters assigned operationally and administratively.
  • To ensure the maintenance of effective internal controls to ensure the safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial statements.
  • To ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as Bank Negara Malaysia and external auditors.
  • To assist in resolving accounting and financial problems and/or issues.
  • To ensure complete and up-to-date operating procedures for all accounting and financial controls.
  • To assist in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow projections.
  • To ensure proper preparation of statutory returns, monthly management accounts and annual financial audits.
  • To review all receipts and disbursements and ensure they are properly monitored and controlled.
  • To assist in preparing special cost studies as required.
  • To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting and Professional Accounting Qualification.
  • Minimum 6 years working experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Good communication, negotiation, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Hardworking, motivated and independent.
