Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Financial Reporting and Analysis: 

  • Assist in preparing timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and other relevant financial metrics.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insights to support decision making and strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, guidelines, and regulations across all office locations. 

Budgeting and Forecasting: 

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis report to management.
  • Identify potential risks or deviations from budgeted targets and recommend corrective actions. 

Accounts Payable and Receivable: 

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation and collections. 
  • Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve payment and invoicing issues.

Financial Operations: 

  • Assist in managing day-to-day financial operations, including forecast cash requirement and optimize cash balances across all offices. 
  • Monitor and ensure all transactions in the bank and petty cash are handles accurately and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date financial records and documentation. 

Compliance and Regulations: 

  • Stay updated on tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements across all office locations. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of tax returns to relevant authorities.
  • Provide support for external audits and internal control assessments, implementing corrective measures when necessary.

Team Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data exchange and provide financial insights for decision-making. 
  • Assist in developing and mentoring finance and billing team members.
  1. Systems, Tools, and Processes improvement: 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation with the finance and billing department.
  • Assist in establishing and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the finance and billing department.
  • Streamline financial systems, tools, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.   


Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • ACCA qualified or equivalent is preferred.
  • More than 5 years of working experience in a senior position within Accounting and Finance.
  • Possess strong knowledge for people management and stakeholder skills.
  • A good understanding of financial management obligations, especially statutory obligations and requirements.
  • Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good report-writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial planning and presentation software such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Able to start work in short notice would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Malaysia income tax would be an added advantage.
