Trainee-to-Full-Time Conversion

About the Role

Looking to start a meaningful career in early childhood education — even without prior phonics or math teaching experience?

At Paced Learning Academy, we are hiring Trainee Teachers who will undergo a 1-month intensive training program to become certified Phonics & Preschool Math educators.

This role is perfect for:

• Fresh graduates in Early Childhood / Education
• Existing teachers (e.g. piano, enrichment, tuition) looking to transition
• Individuals passionate about teaching children aged 3–8

Successful trainees will be assessed and converted into full-time teachers upon completion.

What You’ll Experience (Training Phase – 1 Month)

• Structured training in our PACED Phonics & Singapore Math curriculum
• Hands-on exposure through mock classes, supervised teaching & real classroom observation
• Coaching on classroom management, engagement techniques & online teaching tools
• Weekly assessments to track your readiness and progress

Key Responsibilities (Post-Conversion)

• Teach Phonics & Preschool Math to children aged 3–8 (online & in-person)
• Conduct engaging, enrichment-based lessons (30 mins – 1.5 hours)
• Provide simple progress feedback to parents
• Support lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Continuously improve through training and mentoring

Compensation

• Training Allowance during 1-month program
• Upon Conversion:
• Full-Time Salary: RM 2,500 – RM 3,000
• Trainee Allowance: RM15-20/hrs
• Performance bonuses available

Requirements

• No prior phonics/math teaching experience required (training provided)
• Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• OR experience teaching children (e.g. piano, enrichment, tuition)
• Strong passion for working with children
• Energetic, patient, and willing to learn
• Able to commit:
• Training Period: Full-time for 1 month
• Full-Time Role: 3–4 weekdays + 2 weekends
