Role Overview

The Copywriter is responsible for creating compelling and persuasive written content that engages audiences and drives action. This role involves developing copy for various marketing materials, including advertisements, websites, social media, marketing campaigns, and product descriptions, all while maintaining the brand’s voice and messaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clear, persuasive, and original copy for various platforms, including websites, social media, email newsletters, print materials, and advertisements.
  • Craft engaging headlines, taglines, and calls-to-action that drive customer engagement and conversions.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, target audiences, and competitors to inform content strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to understand campaign objectives and messaging requirements.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all written materials.
  • Ensure all copy aligns with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
  • Review and refine content for clarity, grammar, and style, ensuring high-quality standards and aligned to communications and marketing strategies.
  • Proofread copy before publication to catch any errors or inconsistencies.
  • Work closely with designers, marketing, communications and brand teams to create cohesive and effective marketing materials.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for campaigns and content.
  • Incorporate SEO best practices into copywriting to improve organic search visibility.
  • Use relevant keywords strategically without compromising the quality of the content.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of written content through metrics such as engagement, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing future content based on performance data.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into content.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications, or related field.
  • 2 or more years of professional copywriting experience, with solid portfolio of work
  • Exceptional writing and research skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability

Required Skills

  • Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
