We are seeking a talented Creative Media Specialist to join our Social Media Team (Malaysia). Job Overview

Department: Social Media Team (Malaysia)

Job Type: Full-time (Minimum 12 months employment period inclusive 3 months probation)

Job Mode: Hybrid (12 days monthly in office)

Working Days: Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays

Working Hours: Flexible on remote days, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on physical days

Working Location (if required to be in office): Cheras Business Centre, Kuala Lumpur

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and design eye-catching social media graphics, including posts, banners, videos and ads, to effectively convey brand messages and engage the target audience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues of the Social Media Team to develop visually appealing and on-brand content for various social media platforms.
  • Initiate contact, communicate, and continuously follow up with clients on content direction, content strategies, and content requirements for their brands.
  • Create and adapt designs and videos for different formats and platforms, optimizing visuals for mobile and desktop viewing.
  • Stay up to date with design and video editing trends, social media best practices, and emerging platforms to continually innovate and enhance content strategy.
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of social media content, ensuring timely and relevant delivery of visuals in alignment with campaigns and promotions.
  • Source and manipulate high-quality images, illustrations, and other visual elements to enhance the overall impact of social media content.
  • Support in storyboard planning and conceptualization, video editing and motion graphics creation for dynamic and engaging social media content.
  • Support in photography and videography for social media content.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to evolve social media presence and user engagement.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of social media content, using insights to iterate and optimize future design strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a cohesive brand identity and storytelling across all social media channels.
  • Provide support and guidance to interns involved in design, photography, videography, or any creative-related activities.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge, skills and hands-on experience on photography and videography are required.
  • Knowledge, skills and hands-on experience on photo editing and video editing are required. Knowledge and skills on graphics design, as well as the use of Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Photoshop are added advantages.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with no relevant working experience are welcome. Hands-on experience on social media management, specifically on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Xiaohongshu, or any creative-related industries is an added advantage.
  • Minimum SPM holder. Graduates in Arts, Creative, Graphics Design, or Media disciplines have an added advantage.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for design.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with a cross-functional team.
  • Able to consistently meet deadlines, multi-tasking and problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferably to be able to travel to other states, including overseas (Singapore and Australia).
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English AND Mandarin. Malay is an added advantage.
  • Able to start work immediately or with short notice is preferrable.
