Our client is a digital marketing agency, and they are looking for a talented and dynamic Team Lead to lead the creative department. This role combines creative expertise with project management, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality deliverables across our design team and client projects.
This role is also based remotely, but you are required to be based within KL
Responsibilities
Creative Direction & Leadership
- Conceptualise and assign creative tasks and projects to the design team (2–3 members), ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand guidelines.
- Train and mentor the design team to enhance their technical skills and creative thinking.
- Review all creative output to maintain the highest quality standards.
Project Management
- Act as the "traffic manager" by receiving internal briefs from account managers and assigning tasks to the design team, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Oversee project timelines, task assignments, and workflow to ensure all deadlines are met efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather project requirements and provide creative solutions.
- Manage freelance designers, where necessary, to supplement the team during peak periods.
Pitches & Ideation
- Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for pitches and proposals.
- Develop compelling creative concepts for new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with account and strategy teams to present creative proposals to clients.
Design & Execution
- Develop visually impactful designs for social media, marketing collateral (e.g., brochures, presentations), and other creative assets as needed.
- Ensure all designs align with the client’s brand identity and target audience.
- Create animated videos and multimedia assets that engage and captivate.
Communication & Collaboration
- Act as the bridge between account managers and the design team, ensuring clear communication of project briefs and client expectations.
- Provide feedback and constructive critique to foster a culture of growth within the team.
- Maintain strong communication with clients during the creative process to incorporate their feedback effectively.
