Job Description

• Handle tax compliance work for client companies, including preparing tax computations and tax estimates for submission to the Inland Revenue Board
• Manage individual tax compliance tasks and monitor tax deadlines
• Assist with sales/service tax registration and implementation
• Support effective tax structuring, planning for local or cross-border transactions
• Assist in reviewing transactions with tax-related issues
• Liaise with clients and authorities, including responding to correspondence from the Inland Revenue Board
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to identify business opportunities
• Collaborate with internal business units locally and regionally
• Assist in preparing client proposals and presentations
• Stay updated on tax developments, covering areas like corporate tax, consumption tax, and transfer pricing

Job Requirements

• Education: Degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field
• Experience: 2-5 years of Malaysian taxation experience (Tax Semi Senior and Senior roles)
• Skills: Knowledge of GST, SST, tax compliance cycle, and customs regulations
• Membership in MIA/CTIM is a plus
