Tokai Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, established in 1993, is a leading Malaysian engineering firm specializing in Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems, Security Engineering (HVM Bollards, Access Control & Barriers). Our Security Division provides advanced Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) solutions, supplying, installing, and maintaining ATG and other international-grade bollard systems across major infrastructure and data centre projects nationwide.

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team and support our expanding portfolio of high-security installations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for HVM Bollards, hydraulic systems, control panels, PLCs, and access control components.
• Conduct troubleshooting, inspection, and diagnostic testing on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Supervise on-site maintenance teams and coordinate with clients on servicing schedules and performance reports.
• Ensure maintenance records, service reports, and checklists are accurately documented and submitted.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities for new HVM and vehicle barrier systems.
• Implement and uphold OSH & ISO 45001 safety standards during all site activities.
• Liaise with our supply chain for technical support, spare parts, and warranty issues.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in maintenance of electro-mechanical or hydraulic systems — exposure to security barrier / bollard systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of PLC control, hydraulic systems, and sensor integration preferred.
• Willingness to travel to sites across Malaysia.
• Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Possession of CIDB green card and basic safety certifications is an added advantage.
