Job Description

 

As a Media & Digital Content Assistant Intern, you will split your time across three key arenas:

  1. Digital Content & Social Media – craft bilingual (EN + CN) copy, short‑form videos, and slide decks that amplify our brand narrative across web, LinkedIn, FB/IG, XHS, and YouTube/TikTok.
     
  2. Executive Administrative Support – manage the GM’s calendar, meeting logistics, travel, and documentation to keep decision‑makers focused.
     
  3. Event Planning & On‑Ground Execution – help design, promote, and run live / hybrid events, from run‑down drafting to on‑site coordination and post‑event reporting.
     

This role is perfect for humanities or liberal‑studies students who want portfolio‑ready content, hands‑on event experience, and direct exposure to C‑suite operations.

 

2. Key Responsibilities

DomainCore TasksDigital Content Creation• Write, edit, and proof bilingual social posts, blog entries, and EDMs.
• Develop basic visual assets in Canva / CapCut; assist with WPS/PowerPoint slides.
• Repurpose long‑form content (webinars, reports) into snackable formats.Social Media Management• Build weekly content calendars; schedule posts via Meta Business Suite / Hootsuite.
• Engage community comments & DMs; track reach, CTR, and audience growth.Website & SEO Support• Upload articles, optimise headings/meta in WordPress/Elementor.
• Coordinate with designers/devs to ensure pages are on‑brand and error‑free.Executive Admin• Maintain GM’s diary, appointments, and action‑item tracker.
• Draft e‑mails, meeting agendas, minutes; arrange travel & expense claims.
• Keep shared Drive/Notion folders organised and up to date.Event Planning & Execution• Research venues/suppliers; compile quotations and comparison tables.
• Prepare run‑down, staff roster, registration forms, and marketing assets.
• Handle on‑site logistics (check‑in, stage cues, livestream support) and post‑mortem reports.Research & Insight Briefs• Conduct quick desk research on ESG, AI, digital marketing trends.
• Summarise findings in two‑page insight memos for internal stakeholders.

Job Requirements

 

All criteria below are mandatory unless marked “plus”.
 

  1. Education & Field of Study
     
  • Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, Liberal Arts / Humanities / General (Liberal) Education programmes (e.g., Communications, Journalism, Languages, Cultural Studies, Sociology, History, Philosophy).
     
  1. Language Proficiency
     
  • Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English — able to read, write, and speak both languages clearly and professionally.
     
  • Bahasa Melayu proficiency is a plus.
     
  1. Writing & Content Skills
     
  • Proven interest in storytelling: blog posts, campus magazine, social‑media captions, scripts, or similar.
     
  • Ability to adapt tone for business, marketing, and academic contexts.
     
  1. Digital & Software Competence
     
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and Canva or equivalent design tools.
     
  • Familiarity with at least one social‑media scheduler (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer).
     
  • Bonus points for WordPress/Elementor, CapCut/Premiere Rush, or basic SEO knowledge.
     
  1. Administrative & Organisational Strength
     
  • Strong attention to detail: able to manage calendars without clashes and keep shared drives neatly structured.
     
  • Capable of preparing meeting agendas, minutes, and basic expense reports.
     
  1. Event & Project Mind‑set
     
  • Eager to take part in live / hybrid event set‑ups (may involve occasional evening or weekend hours).
     
  • Comfortable liaising with vendors, volunteers, and guests in a professional manner.
     
  1. Self‑Starter Attitude
     
  • Demonstrates initiative: proactively identifies content ideas, process improvements, or research angles.
     
  • Able to work independently in a hybrid (part‑remote) setup while meeting all deadlines.
