Job Description

The role is completely remote but gives preference to candidates living in Malaysia. Reliable wifi connection is necessary during work. Working hours are Monday to Friday m to 6pm based on SGT/Malaysia time zone. This is a full-time position. 

The ideal candidate must possess practical skills in Advanced SQL and DBT (Data Build Tool), as well as some familiarity with Tableau and a bonus if experienced with Airflow.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

1) Work with a team of Data experts in completing data project deliverables

2) Code review on developed code and packages to ensure data project standards are followed

3) Communicate to stakeholders to support solutions and ensure priorities are handled properly

4) Design, develop and support easily maintainable, highly scalable data solutions.

5) Review client requirements and recommend the appropriate data model and solution

6) Review poor-performing databases and queries, and develop solutions utilizing the most appropriate tools.

7) Identify, analyze and resolve discrepancies to ensure data integrity.

8) Document data requirements and define report templates and dashboard specifications.

9) Partner with other technology teams to deliver stable, highly available back-end platforms.

Requirements

1) 7+ years of experience in a business intelligence development and/or analytical position

2) Experience in data profiling/modeling

3) At least 4 years of exposure on advance SQL / Database development

4) For SQL, especially Advance SQL (comfortable with statements that are> 100lines )

5) DBT, exposure to break complex SQL into DBT

6) Experience in automating ETL / ELT processes using any ETL tool or script
