Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team and gain hands-on experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

The intern will support engineering and production activities involving equipment, mechanical systems, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, process improvement and engineering data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with daily engineering and manufacturing support activities.
• Support the inspection, monitoring and troubleshooting of mechanical components and equipment.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, servicing and performance monitoring.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities under engineers' supervision.
• Assist in identifying equipment-related issues and potential improvement opportunities.
• Collect, analyse and maintain equipment and process performance data.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist engineers with equipment installation, modification, testing and validation where applicable.
• Support engineering trials and improvement projects.
• Assist in preparing engineering reports, presentations, work instructions and technical documentation.
• Work closely with Production, Process, Equipment, Quality and other engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality and operational procedures.
• Perform other engineering-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Candidate must be currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of CAD, machine design, materials, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics or maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other engineering software will be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
