Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Mechatronics Engineering Intern to join our engineering team and gain hands-on experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

The intern will support engineering and production activities involving automation, equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting, process improvement and engineering data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in supporting daily semiconductor manufacturing and engineering activities.
• Support the monitoring, troubleshooting and improvement of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Assist with electrical, electronic, mechanical and control system troubleshooting under engineers' supervision.
• Support equipment maintenance, performance monitoring and reliability improvement activities.
• Assist with automation and control system activities where applicable.
• Collect, analyse and maintain equipment and process performance data.
• Assist in identifying equipment issues and opportunities for automation or process improvement.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist with equipment testing, validation, modification and commissioning where applicable.
• Support engineering trials and improvement projects.
• Assist in preparing engineering reports, presentations, work instructions and technical documentation.
• Work closely with Production, Process, Equipment, Quality and other cross-functional engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality and operational procedures.
• Perform other engineering-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Candidate must be currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Robotics Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic and control systems.
• Understanding of automation, robotics, sensors, actuators, PLC or control systems will be an advantage.
• Basic programming knowledge such as PLC, C/C++, Python or MATLAB will be an added advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of CAD, industrial automation, robotics or machine vision will be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
