What’s the Role?

We’re hiring a Retail Associate — someone who’s more than a salesperson. You’ll be the first and last impression of Ana Tomy in-store — our brand ambassador, storyteller, and problem solver. You’ll help shape the experience customers remember us by — and how they feel about what we stand for.

This is not your typical retail job — and we’re not your typical team. We’re small, collaborative, and constantly evolving. What You’ll Do

  • Greet and connect with every customer — not by script, but by instinct and intention
  • Educate with care — guide people through our customisation journey with clarity, curiosity, and warmth
  • Assemble personalised products with speed, accuracy, and quality craftsmanship
  • Handle fulfilment — manage store pickups, liaise on refunds or exchanges, and ensure timely delivery
  • Work cross-functionally — coordinate with our e-commerce, production, marketing, and design teams to keep operations and launches seamless
  • Manage the store environment — track and restock inventory, support visual merchandising, and maintain a clean, inspiring space
  • Suggest improvements — to streamline operations, boost efficiency, and reduce error rates
  • Keep things moving — capture and organise internal data, meet deadlines, and flag issues before they escalate
  • Adapt fast — shift gears between priorities, take feedback with humility, and problem-solve with your team
  • Be reliable — show up on time, take initiative, and support others even on the busiest or messiest days
  • Support pop-ups or special events when needed — representing Ana Tomy with professionalism and warmth
  • Support e-commerce/production tasks — assembling or packing high volume items during peak times or new launches
  • Coach junior teammates or cross-department members — especially during downtime or busy periods

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll Thrive If You:

  • Have 1–3+ years of retail or service experience (bonus if from creative, lifestyle, or boutique brands like ours)
  • Communicate with clearly, warmly, and confidently
  • Are energised by personal interaction and love helping people feel seen
  • Notice the small stuff — and act on it
  • Can adapt quickly and switch gears when needed
  • Are grounded, curious, and hungry to grow — not just clock in
  • Can work independently, but love collaborating to solve problems
  • See feedback as fuel, not friction
  • Stay grounded, humble, and take the work seriously — not yourself
  • Cares deeply about how you do things, and why it matters.
  • Want to grow with a team, not just stand out in it

Bare Minimum:

  • Are available at least 5 days a week, including weekends and public holidays, in rotating shifts
  • Are fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Minimum SPM/IGCSE or Diploma (retail management/hospitality or communications certification is a bonus)

Good-to-Have:

  • Bilingual (Malay, Mandarin, Tamil, or others)
  • Passion for stationery, design, or customisation
  • Experience in high-touch customer service or boutique/lifestyle retail
  • Coach others patiently and confidently, even without a leadership title
