Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, customer-oriented Retail Assistant to join our team. The Retail Assistant will play a key role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers by providing excellent service, maintaining store standards, and assisting with daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers politely and professionally, answering inquiries and providing product recommendations.
- Cashier, Process sales transactions
- Restock shelves, arrange merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well-organized.
- Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages to the supervisor or manager.
- Assist with promotional activities, such as setting up signage, distributing flyers, packing gifts or informing customers about ongoing discounts.
- Handle customer enquiries & complaints or issues calmly and escalate complex matters to the store manager when necessary.
- Support team members in daily tasks, such as stocktaking or closing the store.
- Minimum SPM qualification (or equivalent); prior retail or customer service experience is an advantage but not required.
- Basic proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Chinese, Tamil) are a plus depending on store location and customer base.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically able to lift light loads (e.g., up to 8 kg), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and stock counts.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn on the job.

- Familiarity with retail POS systems or inventory management tools.
- Experience in sales or upselling techniques to meet store targets.
