Job Description

  • Handle day-to-day accounting tasks.
  • Manage daily card transactions and bank statements, including matching, reconciliation, settlement and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Reconcile daily balances for customer accounts and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and review quotations, invoices, contracts, and purchase orders, ensuring timely issuance and billing.
  • Generate purchase orders to suppliers / vendors for procurement.
  • Create and issue sales invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices ensuring timely payments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers / vendors ensuring timely delivery and resolving any order issues.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments for inventory management and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams ensuring accurate billing and settlement of card transactions.
  • Handle staff claims, reimbursements, and process requisition forms.
  • Maintain and organise financial records, documents, and reports.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Coordinate with teams from other countries ensuring accounting tasks and submissions are accurate and compliant.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support the department and assist in administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist with any ad-hoc tasks as and when required.

Job Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional Certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience in accounting, finance, or related roles.
  • Experience in handling payment card transactions, settlement, or reconciliation is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to multinational operations or coordination with teams across countries is beneficial.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.).
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Deskera, SQL Account, Autocount, Xero, etc.
  • Knowledge of invoicing, general ledger (GL) accounting and financial documentation.
  • Understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance.

Soft Skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Work independently and in a team.
