Job Description

 Boiler Operation & Monitoring

• Operate and control boiler systems according to standard operating procedures. 
• Monitor steam pressure, temperature, water levels, and other parameters. 
• Ensure proper combustion and fuel efficiency.
• To certify contractors services report
• To stop any equipment /services that is unsafe for operation
• Authorized to issue spare parts

Maintenance & Inspection

• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Report and troubleshoot boiler faults or abnormalities. 
• Assist in scheduled boiler servicing and statutory inspections.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure boiler operations comply with DOSH requirements and safety regulations.
• Maintain logbooks, records, and documentation of boiler operations.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols to prevent accidents and hazards.

Support & Coordination

• Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and servicing.
• Provide technical support during emergency shutdowns or breakdowns.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency response procedures. 

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve boiler efficiency and reduce energy usage.
• Recommend improvements for boiler operations and safety practices.
• Attend training and refresher courses as required by DOSH or management.
   

Job Requirements

• Must hold a valid Boilerman Certificate of Competency (Grade 1 or Grade 2) issued by DOSH.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience in boiler operation (depending on grade).
• Strong knowledge of boiler systems, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
• Physically fit and able to work in hot and confined spaces.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, or on-call duty as required.
• Able to work under pressure
• Computer literacy- Prificiency using Microsoft
