Job Description

 Site Engineer Responsibilities:

• Support the Principal Site Engineer in all daily site activities and coordination tasks.
• Track and monitor site progress using Microsoft Project in accordance with the established project schedule.
• Compile and organize all documentation related to Extension of Time (EOT), such as Site Instructions and Variation Orders, for submission to the Project Manager.
• Advise the Project Manager and Construction Manager on issues causing delays and assist in preparing the necessary contractual correspondence to the Client and Subcontractors.
• Prepare mini work programs as required, based on the Two Weeks Look Ahead Plan provided by the Construction Manager.
• Prepare and update the Material Wastage Report to monitor usage and minimize loss.
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely Site Daily Reports.
• Prepare and submit Request for Inspection (RFI) forms to the Supervising Consultant prior to commencement of site works.
• Plan and prepare site material requests to ensure timely availability of required items.
• Prepare work-done sketches for works carried out by the Project Team and compile joint measurement sketches for works undertaken by Subcontractors for the Contracts Department’s monthly progress claims.
• Supervise and monitor any staff under your responsibility as per the site organization chart.
• Liaise with Consultants to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth site progress. Any cost implications must be discussed with the Project Manager and Construction Manager prior to engaging the Consultant.
• Review revised construction drawings for discrepancies and notify the QA/QC Engineer for follow-up.
• Ensure all site works are executed in accordance with approved construction drawings and decisions concluded via approved RFIs.

QAQC Engineer Responsibilities:

• Support QA/QC Executive Engineer to carry out daily tasks
• Support QA/QC Executive Engineer to ensure PQP are up to date and in designated place
• Support QA/QC Executive Engineer to raise technical issue from site to Technical Department and follow up with Technical Department for in due course
• To compile submission of material approval inclusive of material testing deemed necessary as stated in project specification
• To monitor on the close-out progress of NCR raised
• To monitor on the close-out progress of RFIS submitted
• To ensure drawing folders at site with register list are up to date by liaising with Technical Department and ensure those folders are in designated place
• To distribute latest construction drawings to Site Engineer, Site Superintendent and Subcontractor on behalf of Technical Department and to file the transmittal list
• To ensure document folders at site with register list are up to date and in designated place
• To compile as-built memo throughout the construction period
• To participate in site and yard inspection with Project Team where deemed necessary
• To record concrete cube markings for test cubes from concrete delivery and schedule testing and compile subsequent testing results for consultant supervising team’s approval
• To attend material testing along with consultant supervising team’s engineers
• To prepare presentation slides and minutes of meeting for Site-HQ Productivity meeting
• To prepare and compile QAQC report, to compile Site-HQ Productivity report and to assist Project Manager in compiling Client Progress Report
• To prepare method statement involving rectification works
• To prepare submission of method statement involving rectification works, Testing Report, Calibration Report and Material Submission
• To issue NCR to Subcontractor upon approval from Project Manager and/or Construction Manager and to monitor on the close out progress

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in a similar capacity; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications.
• Result-oriented, proactive, and willing to work according to project requirements.
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and accept challenges in a fast-paced project environment.
• Responsible, reliable, and committed to quality and timely project delivery.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, consultants, and subcontractors.

Skills
