Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for someone who genuinely lives on social media, not just scrolling, but observing. You notice when a brand's tone shifts, you can spot a trend before it peaks, and you understand why some content works while similar posts flop. This role is for someone who wants to turn that instinct into a real skill set.

You'll be embedded in our marketing team, helping to plan, create, and manage content across our social channels. You'll learn the strategy behind the posts - why we publish what we do, when we do it, and how we measure whether it worked.

What You'll Do

  • Draft and schedule social media content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, or wherever our audience lives)
  • Assist with content shoots, from planning to basic editing
  • Monitor comments, messages, and mentions—engaging with our community in a way that feels human, not scripted
  • Track performance metrics and help identify what's working and what isn't
  • Research trends, competitor activity, and content ideas that fit our brand
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team on campaigns and launches
  • Experiment - test new formats, new hooks, new approaches, and learn from the results
  • Set up and manage ad campaigns

You'll have real ownership over deliverables, not just busywork. When something needs to go out and plans change last minute, you'll figure it out.

Job Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in any field
  • Active personal use of social media with an understanding of how different platforms work and why audiences behave differently on each
  • Good eye for visuals and an ear for tone, you know what feels right for a brand versus what feels off
  • Strong written communication; you can write captions that sound like a person, not a press release
  • Comfortable with basic content creation tools (phone photography, Canva, CapCut, or similar)
  • Organised enough to manage a content calendar and meet deadlines without constant reminders
  • Resourceful and adaptable
  • Takes ownership; if it's your task, it's your responsibility
  • Effectively prompting in AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude as part of your daily routine, for brainstorming content ideas, writing drafts, repurposing content across formats, researching trends, or just working faster.

Nice to Have

  • A personal account, portfolio, or side project that shows you understand how to build an audience or create engaging content
  • Basic video editing skills (Reels, TikToks, short-form content)
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools like Later, Buffer, or Meta Business Suite
  • Interest in analytics, understanding reach, engagement, and what the numbers actually mean
  • Experience using AI to speed up content workflows, generate variations, or analyse what's performing
