Job Description

As Content Taggers, you will be responsible for reviewing and categorizing media content from mainstream news and social media platforms based on sentiment, topic categories, key messages, and other relevant attributes. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of media data, which will be used for research, analysis and client reporting. The role also involves extracting and organizing data to support client business insights in generating actionable findings.

  • Read and analyse news articles and social media content.
  • Accurately code each item with relevant sentiment, themes, and key messages, based on coding guidelines.
  • Extract and input relevant metadata (e.g. story topic, spokesperson, media type).
  • Ensure consistency and quality of data across all sources.
  • Collaborate with analysts to refine tagging frameworks and improve data accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Possess at least SPM/STPM/Certificate/Diploma/Degree in any field.
  • Razor-sharp attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent command of the English and Bahasa Melayu language (bonus points if you can read and understand Chinese media).
  • Familiarity with current news and social media trends.
  • The ability to work independently and meet (sometimes) tight deadlines.
  • Basic Excel skills.
