Job Description
LOBAK MERAH, INFLUASIA’s Malay-language platform, is on the lookout for a VIDEO EDITOR INTERN to join our creative squad! You’ll get hands-on experience in shooting, editing, and storytelling — creating videos that are bold, local, and made to go viral. 🔥
If you're creative, fluent in Malay, love telling stories through video, and want to make content that speaks to Malaysians — we want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to understand video requirements and objectives.
- Assist in the planning and conceptualization of video projects, including scripting, storyboarding, and shot lists.
- Participate in video shoots, operate camera equipment, and capture high-quality footage.
- Edit and post-process videos using industry-standard software, ensuring seamless transitions, audio synchronization, and visual enhancements.
- Incorporate graphics, animations, and effects to enhance video quality and engagement.
- Assist with audio editing, including voiceovers and sound mixing.
- Organize and maintain video assets, ensuring proper file management and archiving.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and video production techniques.
- Contribute creative ideas and concepts to enhance video content and improve storytelling.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality videos.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Film Production, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Strong passion for video production, storytelling, and visual communication.
- Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Familiarity with camera equipment and operation.
- Knowledge of video compression, formatting, and exporting for various platforms.
- Basic understanding of audio editing and mixing.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback effectively.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and visual storytelling.
- A portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous video production work is a plus.
