Job Description

 

  • Responsible for all accounting functions and tasks.
  • To supervise and provide support to team members from time to time to ensure daily operations of the accounting department run smoothly.
  • Continuously strengthen accounting internal controls, process improvement and implement best practices.
  • Review daily payment and 3Review AR, AP and payment postings to ensure all records are accurate.
  • To ensure completeness of documents and proper filing.
  • Organize work schedules to meet monthly closing deadlines.
  • Perform bank reconciliation.
  • Posting of monthly payroll, prepayment, accrual entries, diesel record and petty cash.
  • Prepare monthly Debit Notes.
  • Prepare oversea suppliers account reconciliation and submit monthly payments to bank.
  • Perform administrative tasks and any other duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
     
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
     
  • Experience in Full Sets of Accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger is an advantage.
     

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
     
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, UBS, or similar).
     
  • Good command of Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis).
     
  • Familiar with taxation, SST/GST, and statutory requirements is an advantage.
     
  • Ability to prepare monthly reports, invoices, and reconciliations.
     

Personal & Professional Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
     
  • Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
     
  • Responsible, honest, and able to handle confidential information.
     
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
     
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
     

Other Requirements

  • Willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
     
  • Able to liaise with auditors, bankers, and external parties when required.
     
  • Malaysian citizen or legally entitled to work in Malaysia.
