Job Description

Position Overview:
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities for the company. The role involves building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding client needs, and promoting the company’s event solutions. This position requires a dynamic and results-oriented professional with a passion for events, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to achieving business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Generation and Prospecting:
  • Identify potential clients and decision-makers within target industries.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging online research.

2. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand their event requirements and objectives.
  • Provide tailored solutions and proposals to meet client needs effectively.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and maintain long-term relationships to encourage repeat business.

3. Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s revenue goals.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

4. Market Research and Strategy:

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and strategies 

5. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with the event planning and production teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Provide clear client briefs and ensure alignment between client expectations and event deliverables. 

6. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue forecasts.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on progress and performance.

Job Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in Sales or Event Management are a plus.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably in the events or hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating revenue.

Skills:

  1. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.

  • Ability to develop persuasive pitches and close deals effectively.

  • Strong project management and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and capability to handle multiple priorities. 

5. Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Powerpoint and Excel
  • Familiarity with event management tools and platforms is a plus.
