Job Description

 Mercury Securities Sdn Bhd is seeking a Dealer - Equity Capital Markets to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position based in our Kuala Lumpur office. As a Dealer in Equity Capital Markets, you will play a crucial role in executing equity transactions, managing client relationships, and facilitating capital market activities. This position is integral to our operations, as you will be at the forefront of client engagement and market participation, directly contributing to the firm's revenue generation and market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Execute buy and sell orders for equities on behalf of clients and the firm, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing
• Manage relationships with institutional and retail clients, providing market insights and investment recommendations
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal trading policies at all times
• Liaise with research, operations, and risk management teams to ensure seamless trade execution and settlement
• Build and maintain a strong client portfolio, generating new business opportunities through effective relationship management
• Stay informed about equity listings, corporate actions, and market developments affecting trading strategies

Job Requirements

• A degree or diploma in finance or related field, from an institution recognised by the government of Malaysia
• Successful candidates are required to hold the Capital Markets and Services Representative's License (CMSRL) for dealing in securities (or will need to be licensed before starting this position). This requires passing module 6 and 7 of the SIDC Licensing Exams.
• Posses good analytical skills with sound knowledge of the securities and futures industry.
• Candidates with a wide network of established business contacts will have an added advantage.
• Possess strong analytical skills, good business knowledge, good interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
