Job Description

  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop new interior products or improve existing ones. This involves creating sketches, 3D Models, and renderings to visualize design concepts
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for interior products using CAD software
  • Conduct research on various materials and their applications in interior product design
  • Oversee the creation of physical prototypes for new interior products and coordinate testing to validate design integrity, functionality, and safety
  • Have an understanding of cost-effectiveness as a goal in the design process
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, manufacturers, suppliers, and marketing teams, to ensure seamless product development and successful product launches
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet design objectives and market demands
  • Must be comfortable with working ad hoc tasks 
  • 3D works and drawing – responsible for conceptualizing including mood board & material proposal, space planning, color coordination, 3D perspective visual, rendering etc.
  • 2D works – responsible for full set construction drawing including layout plans, elevation, section, M&E etc.
  • Complete work assignment within stipulated time.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Interior Design or related field is essential to understand the principles of building design and construction
  • 2-3 years of experience in architectural design, interior design, or designing interior products, such as furniture, fixtures and equipment, is highly desirable
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential for working with architects, engineers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to bring the products to market
  • Collaborative and is open to ideas/inputs from other team members
  • Understanding different materials, their properties, and suitability for specific interior applications is crucial in product design
  • Ability to create physical prototypes and conduct testing to validate the functionality and performance of the interior products
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices and the ability to incorporate eco-friendly elements into interior products.
  • In-depth knowledge of Residential Interior Design, Autocad, 3D Max or SketchUp, Photoshop, V-Ray, Adobe Illustrator.
  • Adequate knowledge of building trades such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing and general constructions.
  • Creative talent, imagination, and eye for design. Flare in Interior Design especially retail and commercial projects.
  • Open to accepting rejection and focus on client's need
  • Stong desire to problem solving
