Job Description

Position: Area Sales Manager

Industry: Wholesale
 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the sales team in Muar, Segamat, Batu Pahat area, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities. Develop strategic plans for the assigned regions based on market trends, competitor analysis, and sales data.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets. 
  • Collaborate with distributors and wholesalers to optimize the distribution network.
  • Ensure product availability, visibility, and proper distribution across all retail outlets in these areas. Maintain strong relationships with key clients and distributors in these regions.
  • Conduct product training sessions for retailers and partners.
  • Organize training sessions for the sales team to enhance product knowledge and improve sales techniques.
  • Mentor and coach sales representatives, helping them to develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Forecast sales trends for each region.
  • Present monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports for both regions to upper management. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and devise strategies to address them.
  • Ensure all sales activities in both regions comply with company policies.
  • Stay informed about changes in tobacco-related legislation in Malaysia and ensure the team's adherence.

Job Requirements

  • Min with SPM/SPTM/Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing or equivalent.
  • Min 2 years of working experience in Tobacco industry, sales, and managerial role.
  • Required language: English, Malay.
  • Knowledge in driving Van (GDL license)
