Job Description

The Assistant Physiotherapist supports the Physiotherapist in delivering high-quality rehabilitation, pain management, and physical recovery services. This role involves assisting in therapy sessions, preparing treatment areas, guiding patients through prescribed exercises, and ensuring smooth daily operations of the physiotherapy department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting therapy sessions and implementing treatment plans.
   
• Guide and motivate patients through exercise routines and rehabilitation programs under supervision.
   
• Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment areas and equipment to ensure a safe and organized environment.
   
• Observe and report patients’ progress, responses, and any unusual symptoms to the supervising Physiotherapist.
   
• Educate patients on proper posture, mobility, and home exercise techniques as directed.
   
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient treatment records.
   
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient registration, and inventory management.
   
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and professional standards.
   
• Provide compassionate, patient-centred care that promotes recovery and wellness.
   

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation Science, or related field.
   
• Experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant or in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
   
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
   
• Empathetic, patient, and professional in dealing with clients of different ages and conditions.
   
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, body mechanics, and physiotherapy modalities.
   
• Physically fit to assist patients safely during therapy sessions.
