About the role - you will:

• Be heavily involved in CMP polishing process research and development, planning and deployment of HDD Glass Substrate.
• Lead a team of engineers and/or technicians to support process and/or equipment performance across Polish process operations and development.
• Drive day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring timely resolution of process and/or equipment issues to maintain safety, quality, and production targets.
• Implement and sustain process improvements to enhance yield, reliability, and cost efficiency using data-driven methodologies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and new product or process introduction.
• Develop team capability through coaching, guidance, and fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and integrity.

About you:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively across functions.
• Proven ability to guide and develop team members, fostering an inclusive, accountable, and performance-driven environment.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with a structured and data-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Proactive and self-driven, with strong ownership and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid technical foundation in CMP/surface polishing and manufacturing process and/or equipment engineering.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, Materials, or a related field.
• Six Sigma Black/Brown belt certification will be an added advantage.

Your experience includes:

• Worked/working in high-volume manufacturing environments, especially in precision machining (CMP polishing) or similar processes like HDD substrate manufacturing.
• Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and improving process or equipment performance (yield, quality, pph, or cost).
• Leading or mentoring technicians and/or junior engineers in an R&D and production environment.
• Hands-on work background in process optimization, equipment engineering, or reliability improvement.
• Solid statistical foundation with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or SPC.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and drive execution to meet operational goals.
