This role ensures the delivery of a high-quality aquatic experience tailored to a range of student abilities, from beginners in learn-to-swim classes to advanced swimmers focusing on stroke development. In addition, the Swim Coordinator will provide professional support to Physical and Health Education (PHE) teachers during the delivery of curriculum-based aquatics lessons. &nbsp; ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Employing effective pedagogy that enables children to become successful and self-regulated learners who achieve personal excellence by: &nbsp; <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">Developing and implementing a comprehensive training program that aligns with the skill levels and goals of individual swimmers</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Planning and organising practice sessions, including drills, workouts, and skill-building exercises</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Coach swim squads and/or learn-to swim programme that may require being present in the water with the learners as instruction may dictate</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Provide hands-on instruction and feedback on swimming techniques</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Lead a team of after school swim coaches and foster a collaborative team environment</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Maintain open and effective communication with swimmers, parents, and other coaching staff</li> <li style="text-align:justify">A commitment to training during school holidays when necessary</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Assist swim teachers during PHE swim lessons&nbsp;</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in swimming coaching</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Handle administrative duties related to the swim program, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of events</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Prepare and maintain appropriate reports; ensure administration logs and checks are completed and current along with the Director of EOTC</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Prepare the pool ahead of sessions to ensure safe, clean and relevant resources are available and in good condition; store equipment and resources to keep the area tidy and safe</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Follow all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Assist the Aquatic Director in keeping aquatic resources up to date and in good condition</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Contribute towards the whole-school team spirit by promoting the philosophy and policies of Nexus International School</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Maintain constant poolside surveillance of students; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety in the event of emergency; provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical service</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Involvement in whole school events and activities as required.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">To perform any other duties as assigned by the management, stakeholders and line manager</li> </ul> &nbsp; QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">A relevant degree (preferred)</li> <li style="text-align:justify">NROC licence</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team and engage positively with young learners</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Experience in an international school environment (preferred)</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Relevant curriculum and coaching experience</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Minimum FINA Level 2 Coach/UKCC Level 2/ASCA Level 2 certified, AUS Swim (or International equivalent) with a minimum of 2 year coaching experience and prior experience in squad planning ideally for competitive level.&nbsp;</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Basic knowledge of google suite platforms, ACTIVE Hy-Tek' Swim Software and Team Unify.</li> </ul> Nexus International School (Singapore) is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our children and families.
