As we expand our direct-operated retail network across Malaysia, we are looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead one of our gold and jewelry boutiques and drive both commercial results and brand experience.
<h2>Job Summary</h2>
You are the store's business owner. As Store Manager, you own the store's sales performance, lead and develop a team of Sales Associates, safeguard high-value gold/jewelry stock, and deliver a premium, trusted shopping experience that reflects Lao Miao's craftsmanship legacy. You balance commercial drive with operational discipline and people leadership.
<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Team Leadership: Recruit, train, coach and performance-manage a team of Sales Associates; build a motivated, service-driven culture.</li>
<li>Sales &amp; Targets: Own store sales targets (gold, K-gold, gem-set); set individual goals, monitor KPIs daily/weekly, and take corrective action to close gaps.</li>
<li>Operations: Oversee daily opening/closing, cash handling, POS reconciliation, and strict adherence to security SOPs for high-value stock.</li>
<li>Inventory: Manage stock counts, visual merchandising, replenishment and loss prevention; minimize shrinkage.</li>
<li>Customer Experience: Handle VIP clients and escalated complaints; ensure consistent premium service standards across the floor.</li>
<li>Brand &amp; Visuals: Maintain store image, window displays and brand guidelines to a flagship standard.</li>
<li>Reporting: Prepare and submit store reports (sales, inventory, staffing, service scores) to the Area Manager.</li>
<li>Compliance: Ensure the store fully complies with company SOPs, brand guidelines and Malaysian retail/labor regulations (including work-hour and rest-day rules).</li>
<li>People Management: Manage rosters/shifts, conduct behavior &amp; service assessments of the team, and run quarterly performance reviews.</li>
<li>Cost Control: Manage store operating costs and protect margin.</li>
