<p>The Regional Product Data Admin is the single owner of product master data across all countries, ensuring:</p>

<li>Traceability from concept to launch and change</li>
<li>Data governance discipline at scale</li>
</ul>

<li>BOM Ownership &amp; Maintenance (Primary Responsibility)</li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>Maintain regional master BOM for all products across all countries</li>
<li>Ensure BOM accuracy across: Ingredients, Specifications, Quantities &amp; yields, Packaging components</li>
<li>Manage country-specific BOM variants while preserving regional core</li>
<li>Prevent unauthorized BOM changes</li>
<li>Standardize BOM data ingestion and transformation processes to support multi-country operations with localization capabilities.</li>
</ul>
<p>2. Single Source of Truth (SSOT)</p>
<ul>
<li>Establish and maintain the authoritative BOM repository</li>
<li>Enforce version control and naming conventions</li>
<li>Eliminate shadow files, local copies, and duplicated BOMs</li>
</ul>
<p>3. BOM Governance &amp; Change Control</p>
<ul>
<li>Own the BOM change governance process, including: Change request intake, Impact assessment (cost, ops, supply, quality), Approval tracking, Effective date management</li>
<li>Ensure no BOM change goes live without: Documented reason, Approved owner, Clear effective date</li>
</ul>
<p>4. Data Traceability &amp; Auditability</p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain full traceability.</li>
<li>Support internal audits and post-mortems</li>
<li>Enable backward tracing (e.g. margin drop → BOM change → ingredient swap)</li>
</ul>
<p>5. Cross-Functional Alignment</p>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with: Product, Supply chain, Finance, Ops, GTM / PMO</li>
</ul>
<p>6. Country Support &amp; Discipline</p>
<ul>
<li>Train country teams on: BOM usage, Change request process</li>
</ul>
<p>7. Data Quality &amp; Risk Management</p>
<ul>
<li>Run periodic BOM audits: Missing fields, Inconsistent units, Mismatched suppliers,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Flag risks proactively: Cost volatility, Supply substitution, Margin erosion</li>
<li>Escalate material risks to Regional Product</li>
</ul>
<p>8. Confidentiality &amp; Data Protection</p>
<ul>
<li>Enforce BOM access controls</li>
<li>Ensure sensitive product data is: Shared strictly on a need-to-know basis, Masked during testing phases, Support HR / IT on data protection policies</li>
</ul>
<p>9. System &amp; Process Improvement</p>
<ul>
<li>Improve BOM workflows and tooling over time</li>
<li>Support ERP / BI integration</li>
<li>Standardize templates, fields, and definitions regionally</li>
</ul>
<p>10. Product Performance Analysis, Portfolio Complexity &amp; Impact Analysis</p>
<ul>
<li>Analyse how each product adds complexity</li>
<li>Produce standardized product performance views such as: BOM cost vs sales performance, Ingredient cost concentration by product, Margin sensitivity to key ingredients</li>
<li>Support Product / GTM with: Launch performance snapshots, Early warning signals for underperforming products</li>
</ul>
