Job Description:

We are seeking a Litigation Secretary with 1–2 years of relevant experience to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clerical support to our litigation lawyers, with a focus on construction and employment law matters. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • ⁠ ⁠Prepare, format, and file legal documents (e.g., cause papers, affidavits, court bundles, and letters) in compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  • ⁠ ⁠Handle e-Filing and physical filing of court documents in both High Court and subordinate courts.
  • ⁠ ⁠Maintain case files, calendars, hearing dates, and deadlines for litigation matters.
  • ⁠ ⁠Liaise with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and internal departments.
  • ⁠ ⁠Assist lawyers with drafting correspondence and follow-up on client matters.
  • ⁠ ⁠Manage billing, file opening/closing procedures, and other administrative tasks.
  • ⁠ ⁠Provide support during hearings, trials, or case preparations, as required.


Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • ⁠ ⁠1–2 years of working experience as a litigation secretary.
  • ⁠ ⁠Familiarity with Malaysian court procedures and the e-Court/e-Filing system is essential.
  • ⁠ ⁠Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  • ⁠ ⁠Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • ⁠ ⁠Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • ⁠ ⁠Discretion, professionalism, and a strong sense of confidentiality.
