To evaluate and countersigning cases recommended by the junior underwriter, to make prudent business-focused decisions effectively and timely. To ensure Turn-Around-Time and service level is efficiently managed.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Assess and underwrite complex cases to achieve a high settlement ratio.</li><li>Review and approve cases recommended by junior underwriters, ensuring prudent, business-focused, and timely decision-making.</li><li>Maintain efficient turnaround times and service levels to enhance operational effectiveness.</li><li>Engage professionally with business partners and Life Planners, providing expert consultation and support.</li><li>Offer technical guidance, propose solutions, and assist agents in finalizing cases.</li><li>Deliver priority consultation and underwriting services for premier Life Planners.</li><li>Conduct underwriting workshops, clinics, and roadshows to enhance knowledge sharing.</li><li>Oversee compliance screening tasks and ensure adherence to regulatory and procedural requirements for the New Business Underwriting Department.</li><li>Manage and resolve complaint cases with top-priority service and professionalism.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisors or the Head of Department to support operational needs.</li></ul>Minimum Job Requirements<ul><li>A tertiary qualification in Medical Science or a related field is preferred.</li><li>At least five years of experience in life insurance underwriting, with expertise in medical and financial underwriting and legal aspects of life insurance.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.</li><li>Proven ability to provide clear guidance, share insights, and support team development.</li><li>Ability to build trust and maintain strong professional relationships at all levels.</li><li>A proactive mindset with the capacity to deliver high-quality work under pressure.</li><li>Willingness to be based at one of our branch locations.</li></ul>Build a career with us as we help our customers and the community live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.You must provide all requested information, including Personal Data, to be considered for this career opportunity.
