Job Description

• Underwrite risks in line with company guidelines and delegated authority
• Drive underwriting profitability by analyzing and assessing the insurability of risks, including adequacy of terms and conditions in received proposals
• Adopt a proactive and consistent approach in preparing and submitting quotations and proposals for both new business and renewals
• Utilize underwriting tools and systems effectively for risk evaluation, submission review, data collection, storage, and analysis
• Deliver accurate reports and data-driven insights to management and clients
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management standards
• Represent the company professionally and strengthen relationships with clients, brokers, and industry partners through regular engagement, technical expertise, negotiations, product presentations, and service initiatives
• Continuously build and maintain in-depth industry knowledge, including complex program structures, policy coverages, and risk management practices

Job Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of experience in property and construction underwriting, or other relevant professional experience within the insurance industry
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Solid technical expertise in property and construction insurance underwriting
• Proficient in applying underwriting guidelines, tools, and systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a technical mindset
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounts and situations effectively
