The role manages sourcing events, contract lifecycle, and vendor performance while ensuring compliance with governance standards. Strong stakeholder collaboration is required to align sourcing plans with business objectives and drive transparency across functions. Additionally, the position focuses on operational excellence through process improvements, renewal planning, and creation of IT sourcing playbooks and templates.Strategic Sourcing, Vendor and Contract ManagementAs a Category Manager for Information Technology (IT), you will align category strategies with business growth, optimise vendor relationships, and champion sourcing excellence across the Technology function. You will manage both strategic sourcing and the contract management in your in-scope category to deliver measurable value, manage risk, and ensure scalable operations.<ul><li>Sourcing and category management strategies. Spearhead the development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) sourcing and category strategies, driving savings, risk mitigation, and operational improvements. Support license compliance monitoring, in alignment with AH’s technology governance and T&amp;Cs obligations.</li></ul><ul><li>Lead end-to-end IT sourcing events including RFPs, evaluations, strategic negotiations, supplier selection, and contract execution.</li><li>Optimise the supply base by identifying consolidation opportunities, rationalising vendor partnerships, and right-sizing supplier relationships where appropriate.</li><li>Take ownership of contract management processes, ensuring commercial strength, risk control, compliance, and scalability.</li><li>Deliver measurable outcomes through both hard and soft savings, ensuring sourcing initiatives directly contribute to business objectives.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain an external view of supplier innovations, technology buying trends, and evolving sourcing practices to future-proof IT category strategies.</li><li>Act as a sourcing thought leader by bringing commercial rigour, market intelligence, and innovation into sourcing practices.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure vendors deliver value, meet contractual obligations, and actively support the Amplify Health’s operational and strategic success.</li><li>Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, escalate issues when necessary, and manage remediation plans.</li><li>Lead complex IT vendor negotiations that align to business goals, ensuring commercial terms deliver sustained operational value.</li></ul>Stakeholder ManagementStrong cross-functional collaboration is essential to ensure sourcing strategies align with business objectives, risk frameworks, and operational needs. You will serve as a connector across functions, ensuring transparency, alignment, and proactive sourcing leadership.<ul><li>Collaborate closely with Technology team, other senior sourcing managers, business stakeholders, and category leads across Amplify Health and AIA Group to ensure critical IT sourcing/contracting activities are fully supported.</li><li>Build and maintain strong credibility by driving results through collaboration, transparency, and strategic stakeholder alignment.</li><li>Communicate sourcing plans, project updates, and vendor performance insights effectively across internal stakeholders, adapting messaging to executive, functional, and operational audiences.</li><li>Serve as the subject matter expert on Technology sourcing standards, IT category management frameworks.</li><li>Promote internal sourcing and contract management education by sharing Technology category process updates, best practices, and sourcing maturity initiatives across user departments.</li></ul>Operational ExcellenceThis role also plays a critical part in building IT sourcing process excellence, governance discipline, and internal sourcing maturity. You will help optimise operations to enable future scalability and stronger category execution.<ul><li>Improve sourcing and contracting workflows to enhance operational efficiency and turnaround times for IT Category.</li><li>Strengthen renewal planning processes with IT Contract Owners to ensure proactive expiry management and timely re-negotiations.</li><li>Identify IT Category new contract, or renewal process bottlenecks, pain points, and governance gaps within the sourcing and contract lifecycle; propose solutions.</li><li>Create and maintain IT Category sourcing guidelines and playbook to ensure consistency and strategic alignment.</li><li>Develop and maintain IT Category templates (e.g., SoW templates, vendor evaluation scorecards, renewal assessment checklists).</li><li>Support sourcing governance reporting where necessary, helping track expiry status, sourcing events pipeline, and vendor compliance.</li></ul>Build a career with us as we help our customers and the community live healthier, longer, better lives.You must provide all requested information, including Personal Data, to be considered for this career opportunity.
