Job Description: Role Summary
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, compliance, and project management of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems across Bank premises, ensuring facilities remain safe, operational, compliant, and adequately supported to meet business requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems for Head Office, branches, and other Bank premises
- Supervise and manage the building's 2000amp transformer (2 nos) and generator set 500Kva - for HQ @ Menara Bank Islam (MBI), for compulsory submission to Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
- Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Engineering Design (Electrical System, ACMV, IT Infrastructure & Fire Fighting Systems)
- Monitor and supervise contractors and service providers to ensure maintenance and repair works are completed according to specifications and contractual requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance programs, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure all facilities and M&E installations comply with relevant statutory requirements, regulations, and internal policies.
- Act as liaison with relevant authorities such as Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (JKKP), and other regulatory bodies.
- Manage standby generator systems, including testing, maintenance, license renewals, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate and monitor maintenance works for critical building systems, including electrical, air-conditioning (ACMV), firefighting, and HT/LV installations.
- Investigate and resolve facility-related complaints and technical issues raised by Head Office, branches, and other business units.
- Assist in managing M&E projects, renovation works, and facility improvement initiatives from planning to completion.
- Monitor service contracts and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLA) and contractual obligations.
- Support restoration of operations during utility disruptions, emergencies, and critical building system failures.
- Manage requests and service tickets received through the Property & Project Service Desk.
- Support and implement Energy Sustainability Governance (ESG) initiatives related to building and facilities management.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
- Able to monitor and manage site works including contractors, schedules, and quality of works
- Able to travel for site visit and supervision when required (Bank-wide)
- Carry out final inspection and verify the completion of defect liability period prior to full liability handover from the contractor to Bank Islam
- Ensure that all project record including tender document, contract, as built drawing and properly filles and maintained.
- Prepare and submit progress report in timely manner and/or and when required superior to identify, plan and execute suitable maintenance program for Bank Islam head office, branches and other facilities.

Skills & Qualifications
Technical Competencies
- Technical background in construction and electrical works (mechanical & electrical) or equivalent working experience:
- Single line diagram
- Knowledge in Electrical & mechanical
- ESG
- Knowledge of AutoCAD for drawing or technical input
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/spreadsheet applications particularly for data analysis, reporting and tracking purposes
- Well-versed building maintenance, renovation process and compliance with safety requirement
- Well-versed in relevant statutory codes, regulations and by-laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong managerial skills, assertive and innovative leader / team player, highly independent, committed, self-motivated, resourceful and result oriented
- Strong Analytical and Problem-solving Skills
- Experience in Fast-track Project Management Environment
- Ability to multi-task, highly numerate with great attention to detail
Experience
- More than 5-7 years experience in project/site supervision, particularly in renovation and electrical works.
- Experiences and exposures in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance and Project Management
