Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Possess at least a recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or in related fields.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control within the Oil & Gas industry, including onshore and offshore projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of cost management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  4. Proficiency in cost control software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Primavera).
  5. Familiarity with Oil & Gas project standards, processes, and contractual requirements.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  7. Strong communication and reporting skills to interface with multidisciplinary teams and management.
  8. Certification in cost control or project management (e.g., AACE, PMP) is an added advantage.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  2. Monitor and track project costs, identifying variances and providing corrective actions to stay within budget.
  3. Collaborate with project teams to prepare cost estimates, forecasts, and expenditure reports.
  4. Analyse and review contracts, purchase orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  5. Conduct regular cost performance reviews and prepare detailed cost analysis reports for stakeholders.
  6. Liaise with engineers, procurement teams, and finance departments to ensure seamless cost integration.
  7. Ensure compliance with financial and contractual regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  8. Support project close-out activities, including cost reconciliation and final reporting.
