Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Possess at least a recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or in related fields.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation and proposal preparation, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
3. Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques, project scheduling, and financial analysis.
4. Proficiency in using cost estimation software and tools.
5. Familiarity with industry standards, tendering processes, and contractual requirements.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
7. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
2. Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to identify cost drivers and potential risks.
3. Develop and maintain cost databases, ensuring up-to-date and reliable cost inputs.
4. Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather relevant cost data and quotations.
5. Prepare comprehensive tender proposals and work order proposals, including technical and commercial submissions.
6. Analyse and optimise project costs to enhance competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
7. Conduct post-bid reviews and cost analysis to improve future estimation processes.
8. Collaborate with project teams to ensure a smooth transition from tendering to execution.
9. Provide regular updates and reports on cost estimation and tender progress to senior management.
