Job Description

  • Collaborate with the mobile team to thoroughly understand the React Native/Expo codebase, including the MobX State Tree stores, the backend communication singleton, the EAS Build and Bitbucket pipeline for deploying alpha, beta, and production binaries and OTAs, as well as the Sentry and PostHog observability tools. 
  • Begin by addressing Sentry issues and fixing minor bugs, then advance to creating and adapting internationalization content in English, Malay, and Chinese.
  • Eventually take ownership of features from conception to deployment: working with stakeholders to define scope, designing user-facing flows, coordinating with the backend product owner on API agreements, testing builds on devices, and releasing OTAs. 
  • By the conclusion of the internship, you will serve as the primary contact for all submissions to the Play Store and App Store.

Job Requirements

  •  Final-year undergraduate or recent graduate in Computer Science / Software Engineering / UX / Information Systems (or equivalent self-taught track record).
  • Some exposure to JavaScript or TypeScript — you should know what async/await and useState do.
  • Able to commit 4-6 months full-time.
  • Based in or able to travel to Klang Valley.
  • Strong written English + at least one of Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin (our carers span all three).
  • An eye for UI polish - if a button looks off by 2px, you notice.
  • Access to a real Android phone for QA (iOS sim on Mac is nice-to-have).
