Job Description

• Design intuitive UI screens, menus, icons and layouts for a mobile visual novel app.
• Create the visual novel reader interface - dialogue boxes, images gallery, and scene transitions.
• Design interactive elements such as route selection screens, affection meters, and choice prompts.
• Ensure a seamless and engaging user experience that supports storytelling.
• Develop wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to communicate concepts to the development team.
• Maintain a consistent visual design language across typography, colour palettes etc.
• Collaborate with writers, artists, and developers to align UI with narrative tone and art direction.
• Adapt designs for various iOS and Android screen sizes and resolutions.
• Optimize readability, accessibility, and clarity (text-heavy interfaces are key in visual novels).
• Iterate on designs based on team feedback and usability reviews.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, Digital Media, HCI, or related field.
• Proficient in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch for wireframing and prototyping. 
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles for touch-based interfaces.
• Ability to create 2D UI assets that suits a game's aesthetic.
• Ability to balance aesthetics with usability.
• Familiarity with design handoff tools such as Figma Dev Mode or Zeplin.
• Basic understanding of Unity UI systems is an advantage.
• Portfolio showcasing UI/UX work, preferably featuring games, apps, or visual novel projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Preferably with 2-3 years working experience
