Job Description

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing inventory, maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. This role ensures that the store operates smoothly and supplies are available as needed to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect and record incoming goods and materials.
• Ensure proper storage of items in designated locations with clear labeling.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock checks and system updates.
• Issue materials and supplies as per requisitions and keep detailed records of all outgoing items.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management when reorder is necessary.
• Ensure the store area is clean, organized and complies with safety and health regulations.
• Assist in preparing inventory reports and audits.
• Coordinate with procurement and other departments to ensure timely stock replenishment.
• Handle returns, damaged goods and discrepancies appropriately.
• Maintain security and control of store items to prevent loss or theft.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a storekeeper, inventory clerk or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of inventory software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Physical ability to lift and move stock as needed.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
