HSE Apprentice

As a HSE Apprentice, you will be tasked with supporting and assisting the Technical Safety Engineer and others within the HSE Department on daily operational tasks ensuring safe operations to meet production objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Contribute to compliance of local laws and the effective implementation of Company HSE Policies and Procedures
• Contribute to HEB HSE key performance indicators for improvement and monitoring.
• Contribute to HSE Excellence on company HSE culture initiative.
• To intervene on any unsafe acts and conditions by raising Quality HIOC Observation Cards
• Contribute to HSE event coordination for the annual World Day for Safety.
• Participate in operation meeting such as downgraded situation, Management of Change (MOC) review, tracking and follow up.
• Involve in safety studies and risk assessment development.
• Support Process Safety Event Indicator including Loss of Primary Containment (LOPC) Reporting.
• Participate in incident investigations as necessary.
• Monitoring and follow-up of the Remedial Action Plan (RAP) comprising of actions from Safety Case.
• Support the development of the Combined Operations Safety Case, Safety Case Material Change (if required).
• Support to update and/or develop any HSE Department’s Company Management System (CMS) Procedure.
• Support development and/or update of Safety Environment Critical Elements (SECEs) and Performance Standard (PS).

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Microsoft Project basic knowledge is an advantage)
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and people management skills.
• A self-starter and has strong resilience.
