Job Description

• Implement and maintain the Company’s, Environmental, Safety and Health [ESH] Management System to ensure that it is in compliance with relevant statutory requirements at all times, including the local regulations, code of practices and legal requirements.
• Liaise with relevant authorities on planning of environmental, safety and health matters for construction activities from pre-contract to post-construction to meet legal requirements, Company’s objectives, and policy.
• Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure that any ESH matter is resolved promptly and effectively.
• Liaise with relevant internal and external parties on documentation issues (e.g., discrepancy on the documents) pertaining to ESH.
• Provide sound advice and guidance to support the effective operations of the ESH Management System and provide coordination of the field support for ESH personnel.
• Assist in preparing the summary of ESH Management System implementation for the Management Review Meeting.
• Assist to continually improve the ESH Management System by coordinating and/ or conducting regular internal audits, awareness briefings, campaigns, trainings and induction programme.
• Provide accurate interpretation of ESH Management requirements and regulations for the functional managers.
• Participate and coordinate in Workplace ESH Committee Meetings.
• Act as Secretary for the Workplace ESH Committee Meeting.
• Continually promote awareness of client requirements as well as Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) practices throughout the Company and ensure that it is observed and adhered by the Company and relevant parties at all times.
• Assist the Head of Department in managing and coordinating project level ESH implementation.
• Ensure that the coordination of environmental, safety and health related matters at project site(s) are always in line with the statutory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections, hazard identifications, risk assessments and risk control measures at workplace.
• Coordinate and conduct accident/incident investigations and enforce preventive measures where necessary or in the event of an accident.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports on ESH statistics and records to Person-In-Charge and/or Head of Department on a timely basis.
• Efficiently and effectively monitor ESH Management Programme implementation and update relevant ESH documents where necessary.

Job Requirements

• Must possess at least a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Must have a valid Green Book.
• Candidates with a CEPSWAM Certificate will be given priority.
• Must have more than 5 years of experience in the ESH field
