Job Overview:

As a Technical Designer, you will work closely with interior designers, architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure that design concepts are seamlessly translated into reality. You will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes, and overseeing the technical execution of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise & Design Execution

• Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction drawings to support design concepts.
   
• Prepare and review construction documentation, schedules, and specifications to ensure accuracy.
   
• Ensure all designs align with building codes, industry standards, and project requirements.
   
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and provide technical solutions.
   

Material & Product Selection

• Research and recommend appropriate materials, finishes, and fixtures for various interior spaces.
   
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to obtain technical specifications, samples, and pricing.
   
• Evaluate materials for performance, durability, and sustainability.
   

Project Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met.
   
• Attend project meetings to provide technical insights and resolve design-related challenges.
   
• Provide on-site technical support during construction and installation phases.
   

Quality Control & Compliance

• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure all work aligns with project specifications.
   
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise throughout the project lifecycle.
   
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
   

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
   
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to support project development.
  
  

Job Requirements

Requirements:

✔️ Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
✔️ Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Designer or similar role in the interior design industry.
✔️ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other drafting/modeling software.
✔️ Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
✔️ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
✔️ High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
✔️ Willingness to travel to project sites when necessary.
