Job Description

About the Role 

We are seeking an Assistant Manager, Product Designer with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience to join our design team. You will play a crucial role in leading projects and managing the product design team. You will take ownership and be accountable for the design quality of products and processes within the team. Additionally, you will actively mentor and coach other designers to help them grow their skill sets.

What you’ll do

  • Lead a small team of designers, providing guidance and mentorship offering constructive feedback to support their professional development.
  • Oversee and contribute to the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and final implementation.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions are both innovative and practical.
  • Champion user-focused design solutions and processes, with a strong understanding of how design impacts key business metrics like conversion rates and user retention.
  • Conduct user research and analyze findings to guide design decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Optimize workflows and introduce best practices to improve team productivity and output quality.
  • Communicate design concepts, strategies, and updates effectively to stakeholders, clearly articulating the reasoning behind design choices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project priorities, goals, and timelines.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and champion the voice of the user throughout the organization.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Figma proficient (MUST)
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Optional)
  • Knowledge of human-centered design and are familiar with the end-to-end design process, including research, personas, concept creation, customer journeys, user flows, mockups, prototypes, user testing, and visual design deliverables.
  • Familiarity with design systems and branding guidelines.
