Kasagi Labo is acquiring anime IPs and building an AI-powered social platform that connects fans and creators more effectively than traditional methods, automating and enhancing interactions like fan engagement and content creation, and proving so innovative that it’s fostering a global community and redefining anime fandom. We’ve raised one of the largest seed rounds in SEA totalling US$20M to build out our vision. The team is small because we can’t hire great people as fast as the company is growing.

About the Role
Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using React Native.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Use Redux Toolkit and RTK Query for state management, data fetching, caching, and optimistic updates.</li>
<li>Translate Figma designs into clean, reusable UI components.</li>
<li>Ensure responsiveness and performance across devices and OS versions.</li>
<li>Write robust tests (unit, integration, E2E) using Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox.</li>
<li>Integrate REST APIs and implement error handling and fallback mechanisms.</li>
<li>Monitor and resolve production issues using Sentry, Firebase Crashlytics, and Flipper.</li>
<li>Participate in agile development processes, including code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Must have +4 years of experience building apps with React Native in a production environment.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.</li>
<li>Solid experience with Redux Toolkit and RTK Query for state and data management.</li>
<li>Familiarity with REST API integration, caching strategies, and offline support.</li>
<li>Understanding of mobile navigation (e.g., React Navigation), gesture handling, and component lifecycle.</li>
<li>Experience with Git and modern collaborative development workflows.</li>
<li>Ability to debug performance issues and memory bottlenecks.</li>
</ul>
