About the role

 

The QAQC Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of analyses essential for product quality control. This includes the quality control of raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress (WIP) items, and finished products.

 

The ideal candidate will have expertise in conducting experiments related to oleo-chemical plant operations. They should be hands-on, possess strong interpersonal skills, and will report directly to the Chemist.

 

Work Location : Shah Alam 

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Perform all types of analyses required for product quality control which include quality control of raw materials, packaging materials, WIPs and finished products
  • Preparation and standardization of laboratory reagents.
  • Regularly maintain and calibrate equipment / instruments to ensure high quality analysis results.
  • Responsible for efficient filing of test results / records in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Maintain the good working condition and cleanliness of the laboratory by organising neat sample and consumable chemical storage.
  • Assist the chemist in laboratory chemicals / glassware stock control.    
  • Customer sample preparation.
  • Isotank or tanker inspection before product loading.
  • Follow laboratory Safety Procedures to guarantee personal safety and safety of other laboratory personnel.
  • Act as safety inspector in the issue of safety work permits with regards to entry into vessels.
  • Perform all analyses in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Responsible in practicing 5S culture and clean as you go in the work place
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested from time to time.

Qualifications and skills

 

  • The candidate must possess at least SPM / STPM or Diploma in Science with minimum 1 year experience in laboratory work.
  • Those with SPM with related experience in laboratory environment / oleo chemical industry are also encourage to apply.
  • Experience in chemistry testing and GC analysis / interpretation will be added advantage
