Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for clerk/admin to assist the Dispute Resolution practice group with their day-to-day litigation matters. This is a purely administrative position designed to provide administrative and secretarial support to their Partner and Assigned Lawyers (“AL”) and other team members in the day-to-day management in the practice group as needed.  This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive attitude to ensure smooth operations and excellent client service. Additionally, the role requires someone who is tech-savvy and able to communicate effectively, both in writing and speaking, in both English and Bahasa. 

Main duties and responsibilities would include:

  • Assist in providing litigation support to the DR team by ensuring all documents, pleadings and cause papers are filed on time, managed and organised accordingly.
  • Assist in communicating with process servers, court interpreters, counterparties’ solicitors, government officials in day-to-day etc.
  • Provide support in document control, correspondence, calendar management and court minutes;
  • Assist in conducting searches i.e. insolvency searches, land searches, credit searches, company searches etc.
  • Provide end-to-end management of foreclosure proceedings and post-auction work.
  • Assist in managing execution proceedings e.g. Bankruptcy, Winding-up, Writ of Seizure and Sale etc.
  • Maintain good order of all file correspondences, records and administrative facilities, including but not limited to emails/ mails, fax distribution, filing/document keeping and etc.
  • Research information and prepare legal documents.
  • Assist partners and associates in their work delivery to clients.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma or SPM holders with prior experience as litigation clerks, legal secretaries, or administrators in a law firm are encouraged to apply. 
  • Strong command of both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Able to adapt quickly and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. 
  • A proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and excellent time management and prioritisation skills. 
  • Demonstrates discretion, professionalism, and high ethical standards. 
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
